Waringstown II - Winners of the Ulster Plate 2022
Victory on home soil for Waringstown Seconds as they saw off the challenge of Bready by 61 runs. It was Stuart Kidd that propelled Waringstown to their 216 total - his rapid 59 including 4x6 and 5x4 and which earned him the MOM award ahead of Shane Burke's 64. Jamie Magee took 3 wickets early on with Matthew Collum picking up his 3 in the final overs when the slog was on. Gavin Roulston top scored in the Bready chase with 47 but was hampered by a leg injury and required the services of a runner for most of his innings. Bready were always behind the required rate and wickets tumbled as they tried to push on. A comfortable margin for the home side as they claimed the Ulster Plate crown.
