Cricket Scotland debuts new kit at ICC Cricket World Cup

Cricket Scotland will unveil its new playing kit for Scotland's national team at their first fixture against New Zealand in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 (CWC).

The new kit has been designed specifically for the international tournament and has unique design features. The front displays a proud saltire across the chest; the back lists all the Cricket member clubs in Scotland (recognising all involved with Scottish cricket); and the sleeves are a patriotic tartan, exclusively designed and registered as the Cricket Scotland tartan.

The exclusive Cricket Scotland tartan is a striking combination of navy, azure and white. It has been designed by Pitlochry-based House of Edgar, based on the MacGregor clan tartan and inspired by Cricket Scotland Hall of Fame member, Gregor MacGregor.

Ross Brooks of Cricket Scotland, said:

“This new Scotland shirt, specially commissioned for the Cricket World Cup, looks fantastic and I am particularly pleased that the new kit represents all the Scottish cricket clubs, recognising their continued support and the important role that they play in making cricket a success in this country.”

PSL Teamsports, The Official Cricket Scotland merchandiser, said:

“Working in partnership with Cricket Scotland and Canterbury of New Zealand we have developed an inspiring shirt, detailing the represented cricket clubs in Scotland on the back panel, with the official Cricket Scotland tartan on the sleeves. Both these features are very personal to Scottish cricket fans and players alike and bring us all together as part of the team.”
