Leinster Cricket Club are looking to employ a Women’s and Girl’s Head Coach for the 2022 season, and beyond.

The role will begin this coming April and run for six months.

Previous Head Coach, Rob O’Connor, is stepping away after six successful years with the Women’s squads.

Women’s Chairwoman Lorraine Bagnall took the opportunity to thank Rob and added "Rob has been a central part of the club over the last six years. Not only did he bring success on the pitch, but also developed a culture where players could play with freedom, enjoy the social side of things, and improve their skills.

"Everyone in LCC would like to thank Rob for all his work, and we wish him well as he prioritises things outside of cricket".

The Women’s section in Leinster is one of the biggest in Ireland, with four teams being entered into the Leinster leagues in 2022.

The club works hard to retain players, attract new players, and have produced multiple Irish Internationals over the years, including current captain Laura Delany.

Performance has been a top priority, in Division One, where their 1st’s have been champions the last four years.

The youth section has over 250 members, with a Girls’ team in every league. The club continue to work hard to increase the numbers of Girls playing cricket, with outreach projects to local Girl’s schools.

The Women’s & Youth Committees are delighted to announce the role of Women’s & Girl’s Head Coach, and look forward to welcoming applications from interested coaches. Download the job description at https://drive.google.com/file/d/1hDE_U3kGpWtj2D6n2hAidig6OhqC9tZ4/view?usp=drivesdk
