After a two year absence from the domestic calendar the draws have been made for the Irish Senior Cup and National Cups.

There are byes for 2019 Champions Pembroke and Waringstown, the defeated finalists from the last edition of the competition plus the beaten semi-finalists, Phoenix and CIYMS.

An essential feature of the Irish Cup is that the first round draw guarantees sides a match with a club from one of the other Provincial Unions. In 2022 the 12 ties will take place 4 in each of Leinster and the North West, 3 in the NCU and 1 in Munster.

CSNI will be the only NCU side making the trip south while Carrickfergus and Instonians head to the North West.

There are home draws for Leinster, YMCA, Clontarf and Merrion, with Malahide and Balbriggan visiting Lisburn and Woodvale respectively..

The longest journey scheduled is that of Cork Harlequins who travel to Donemana, while their Munster colleagues Cork County host North Kildare at the Mardyke.

In the National Cup both the NCU promoted sides, Cliftonville Academy and Cregagh received home draws while Muckamore are on their way to the scenic Oyster Oval, home of County Kerry.

2019 winners Railway Union have received a Bye as have Bonds Glenn.
