As reported last week, the 2022 Super Series will revert to three teams, with the Dragons returning as a predominately Northern based team.

Irish international Leah Paul will be the new captain of the returning Dragons side, vying with the Scorchers and the Typhoons for the Super Series 50 Cup and T20 Trophy.

Gaby Lewis and Laura Delany remain captains of the Scorchers and Typhoons respectively.

Irish international James Cameron-Dow is head coach of the Dragons squad, while Glenn Querl will return to coach the Scorchers. The Typhoons will be seeking a new head coach for 2022 after Clare Shillington stepped down from the role over the off-season.

There are no fewer than 11 of the 15 players in the Dragons squad from Northern Ireland, with Amy Caulfield, Alison Cowan, Abbi Harrison, Amy Hunter, Charlotte Lyons and Cara Murray from the NCU region joined by NW counterparts Zara Craig, Alana Dalzell, Mollie Devine, Kia McCartney and Jemma Rankin.
