Colin Siller is back. The much travelled cricket coach is returning to Ireland to take a Director of Coaching role at Clontarf.

Scottish born Siller first came to Ireland as a player/coach with Holywood and Instonians in the NCU, and also coached at Irish youth level.

On the international scene, he was an assistant coach with Canada at the 2005 ICC Trophy, before being Head Coach with Fiji. Austria, Sweden and Rwanda.

It's almost full circle for the affable Siller, whose passion and enthusiasm for the game is undiminished despite the passage of time.

"It is great to be coaching in Ireland again after many years being away," Siller told CricketEurope.

"Since the last time I was in Ireland I have experience coaching at international level having been a National Coach of four countries and winning an ICC Tournament with Sweden and coaching at First-Class level in Zimbabwe.

"I want to use that experience to help the players at Clontarf fulfill their full potential, be that in the men's, women's teams or youth section - boys and girls.

"Clontarf is one of the biggest clubs in Ireland and one of my aims is that the club becomes even more successful while I am here as the Director of Coaching, with more players from all the sections of the club getting picked for Provincial or International squads and performing with success once they get there.

"With PJ Moor, Fionn Hand, and David Delany at Clontarf we have the players who can perform at the highest level.

"With David Vincent, John McNally and Freya Sargent as potential full internationals in the future, success of Clontarf is in safe hands with these young players and I hope to help them achieve their full potential and dreams of becoming full international players."

Exciting times indeed at Clontarf.
