It was a night of tight finishes in the NW T20 Cup, with a tie between Glendermott and Donemana, while Ardmore beat Bready by 3 runs and Coleraine came out the right side of a two-run victory over Ballyspallen.

Jamal Anwar (69*) and Nathan McGuire (65*) both hit half centuries as they each cleared the ropes five times in a second wicket stand of 118 to help Glendermott to 188 for 1 at home to Donemana.

Scott Laird had earlier made 43 as he and Anwar put on an opening stand of 70.

Donemana though came out all guns blazing with skipper William McClintock hitting five sixes in a quickfire 44, while Joe Robinson made 41.

Two wickets for skipper Ben Mills and Todd Killen swung the game back towards Glendermott but Donemana again rallied and with three balls left, two runs were needed.

Curtis Ross then had a dot, followed by the wicket of Gary Neely to give the home supporters hope. Jamie Huey's scrambled single from the final ball of the game ensured a share of the spoils.

The tie will please Newbuildings who now only need to win one of their remaining two matches to top the group.

At The Bleachgreen, Ardmore's Harry Zimmermann scored an unbeaten 49 to help his side to 118 for 4 against Bready.

Rachit Gaur chipped in with 25, while there were two wickets for Gregory McFaul (2-25).

Bready looked in control as Irosh hit a quickfire 39 (5 fours, 1 six) but three wickets for Sean Gormley (3-16) wrested control back to Ardmore, who held their nerve in a tense finale to win by three runs.

At Sandel Lodge it was a remarkably similar scoreline as Coleraine's 115 for 8 proved just enough to beat Ballyspallen.

Ravindra Karunaratne hit 3 sixes in his 50 from 35 balls, adding 86 for the second wicket with Matthew Hutchinson (28).

However, the innings faltered with the Sri Lankan's dismissal - Stephen Kennedy taking 3 for 5.

Kennedy and Luke Gilfillan then hit 29 apiece in the chase, but Rory Knox's 2 for 9 was crucial in denying 'Spallen the win.

The other three games were much less dramatic with holders Brigade winning by 9 wickets at Killyclooney.

Home skipper Tim Dougherty made 28 not out as they posted 116 for 7 - Darren Moan hitting five boundaries in his 21, while William Finlay made 20.

DD Barr took three wickets, while Ryan Macbeth picked up a brace.

The chase was routine with Barr (36*) sharing an opening stand of in 51 in 44 balls with Ifty Hussain (37), and an unbroken 66 - also in 44 balls - with Adam McDaid (31*) to clinch a maximum points win.

Marcello Piedt and Eddie McGettingan's recent big hiting exploits continued as they helped Burndennett to a 21-runs win over Fox Lodge.

Piedt top scored with 56 from 36 balls (3 fours, 4 sixes) adding 64 in just 28 balls with McGettigan, whose 20-ball 48 also included 4 sixes, as well as five boundaries.

Mark Pollock also chipped in with 24 as Burndennett made 168 for 6.

Fox Lodge - still resting Marco Marais - never threatened in the chase, despite 40 from Craig Doherty and a quickfire 28 from his brother Ali, who hit three sixes as the Foxies finished 21-runs adrift on 147 for 7.

Mark Snodgrass (3-13) was the pick of the Burndennett attack.

Eglinton ran out seven wickets winners at home to St Johnston in a dress rehearsal of next week's Senior Cup quarter-final.

David Lapsley top scored with 42 in the Saints 139 for 5, with 20s from Ian Macbeth, Deepak Reddy and Michael Rankin.

The Millar brothers claimed two wickets apiece - Robbie (2-17) and Andy (2-26).

Tommy Orr's excellent unbeaten half century continued his consistent form, and he continues to push his case for interprovincial recognition.

Robbie Logue hit three sixes in a rapid 31, while Robbie Millar (20) completed a fine all-round game - the win secured with three overs remaining,
