Oman have extended their lead at the top of the CWC League two table after a low scoring win over Nepal at Moosa Stadium in Texas.

Oman won the toss and chose to bat first, getting off to a poor start when Kashyap Prajapati was out lbw to Karan KC from the very first ball of the match. Oman’s innings was then dominated by Zeeshan Maqsood who scored an unbeaten 104.

Khawar Ali was the next highest score in Oman’s total of 211-8, with Karan KC the pick of the Nepali bowlers, taking 5-38.

Aarif Sheikh was the only Nepal batter to get a decent start in their reply, scoring 66. Zeeshan Maqsood completed a find all-round performance by taking 3-37 as Nepal were bowled out for 198, losing by 13 runs.

This current tri-series continues tomorrow with Nepal taking on hosts USA. Oman’s next match is on Sunday, also against the hosts.
