Namibia may have already secure the T20 tri-series title but there are still two matches left for Jersey and the USA to play against each other. The first of those took place today with the Americans batting first after Jersey captain Chuggy Perchard won the toss and put them in.

Gajanand Singh top scored for them with an unbeaten 57 from just 28 balls, with Sushant Modani (43 from 33) and Jaskaran Malhotra (42 from 24) also contributing. Their final 20 overs total was 190-5, with Daniel Birrell the pick of Jersey’s bowlers with 2-41.

Jersey were reduced to 6-2 in reply and like in their other two matches in this series their innings was dominated by one player. Asa Tribe was rested for this game and it was Ben Ward who top scored with 60 from 39 balls before he was run out.

Jersey were kept to 140-8 from their 20 overs, losing by 50 runs. The series concludes tomorrow with these two teams meeting once more.
