A powerful batting display by NCU saw them overwhelm their North West counterparts with a 150-run win at Belmont.

Seb Yeates top scored with a fluent 82 from 87 balls (12 fours), laying the foundation for their total of 292 of 7 with an opening stand of 64 with Adam Heasley (22).

Yeates and skipper Adam Leckey (67) then added 103 in 18 overs for the second wicket as the North West attack continued to toil.

Luka Bates made a run-a-ball and James West scored 20, while Charlie Downey took three wickets in the late chase for runs.

The North West batting never got any momentum, and the result was a foregone conclusion early on.

Cody Mehaffey top-scored with 26, while Seth Guy hit a quickfire 21 in their total of 142. James West was the most successful of the bowlers taking 3-31, while Conor McVicker (2-7) picked up two, while there was one apiece for Luka Bates, Alex Armstrong and Adam Leckey in the comprehensive win.
