Gaby Lewis continued her rich vein of form to lead the Scorchers to the Super Series T20 Trophy at Oak Hill.

The Irish international top-scored with 76 as her side posted 189 for 6, which proved 17 too many for the Typhoons.

Lewis hit 12 fours and a six in her 46-ball innings, sharing an opening stand of 120 in 12 overs with Bev Devchand, who made 68 (9 fours).

Jess Mayes (2-16) and Ava Canning (2-27) each picked up two wickets.

Rebecca Stokell (57) and Mary Waldron (53) replied with a pair of half centuries of their own, as they put on 72 for the second wicket.

Georgina Dempsey chipped in with 28, but two wickets apiece for Rachel Delaney and Ellie McGee ensured the win and the trophy.

In the afternoon game, the Dragons recent good run continued as Amy Hunter was once again to the fore.

The Belfast teenager top scored with 69 from 47 balls (8 fours, 2 sixes), putting on 95 in 9.3 overs for the first wicket with Leah Paul (23).

Sarah Forbes (26) and Naomi Matthews (19*) took the Dragons to 177 for 5 – two wickets apiece for Lara McBride and Georgina Dempsey.

Mary Waldron hit 44 from 28 balls (6 fours, 1 six), but fell to a stumping by Hunter, who has been preferred by Ed Joyce for keeping duties in the upcoming tri-series.

She showed exactly why, completing five dismissals, four of them stumped in a superb Player-of-the-Match display.

Leah Paul and Cara Murray each took two wickets as the Dragons saw out a 41-run win.
