The heavy rain in the North West ended any hope of Ireland playing their final match of the Tri-Series against Pakistan at Bready, the game called off an hour before the scheduled 4pm start.

World Champions Australia won the series despite their final match against Pakistan being abandoned four balls before a result could be achieved.

The rain also cost Newbuildings the chance to regain the lead in the Premiership with a second successive wash-out of their game against Brigade, the day after their game against Ardmore was also abandoned, although they will get a chance to play that one again next month.

Bready are the new leaders of the Premiership after their 14 runs victory over Donemana on Saturday, in a game reduced to 25 overs but still saw 536 runs at The Holm.
