BREADY WOMEN SECURE LEAGUE TITLE

While Bready men will be hoping to lift the Premiership title at home to Eglinton on Saturday, the women have already secured the title with wins in the past week over rivals Fox Lodge and Coleraine.

“It was fantastic to have gone unbeaten in the league this year, and I’m very proud to play for this club,” said Jemma Rankin.

“Alana Dalzell was solid throughout the year again, while Steph Wilkinson was amazing with the ball in every game with her line and length. Vee Buchanan again took wickets consistently with the new ball.

"Abbie McKnight showed her skill with the bat this season,, while Cody Wallace enjoyed a great first season, was a great talent and fitted in well with the girls. Kaylee Barnard was great all round, especially on the field. Mansi Bhavsar stepped up under pressure showing her talent, while there was superb bowling from Sophie Killen.

"Amy Campbell was quick behind the stumps and kept the girls motivated. Kathryn Rough has hands like buckets and never dropped a catch all season – a really unreal fielder.

“With Alana and other girls unavailable for games we were confident in the seconds stepping up for us, so Rachel Hepburn, Amanda Loughlin, and Kirsten Killen all played their part. Finally, it was great to have the support and guidance from Lindsey and Norman Allen all season. Already looking forward to the next.”
