It wasn’t just all about the men for Fox Lodge, as their women won their Senior Cup last Wednesday night with a 13-run DLS victory over Eglinton.

They will now go on to represent the region in the All-Ireland T20 Women’s Cup with a home match against CSNI on Sunday – the winners facing Merrion in Cork the following week.

“What a week it turned out to be for the Foxies,” said skipper Mollie Devine. “Both teams winning senior cups together has to be something not done very often, if ever before.”

“It was a really proud moment for everyone within the club for the ladies to be four times winners now. Hopefully with the support from the club and seeing how much it meant to everyone, the men can push for more and more success in the coming seasons. This is only going to make the club go further.”

“There are too many to thank personally, but I have to mention Adam Walker for all his help. Looking forward to Sunday. It’s always good to face new teams and it should be a great game.”
