Ireland Under 17s Boys will face their Scotland counterparts in two 50-over games and two T20 games for the Celtic Cup, which has not taken place since 2019.

Six Ulster players, including CI’s Carson McCullough, are in the 14-boy squad which will play 50-over games at Upritchard Park on Monday and Stormont on Thursday with games taking place on Tuesday at Bangor.

NCU Challenge Cup finalists Civil Service North provide three of the squad, Harry Dyer, Ryan Hunter and Finn Lutton while Bready and North West Warriors opening batsman Gavin Roulston is the only representative from the North West, although Scott Macbeth, who is also eligible, is playing for the Ireland Academy team against England Under 19s at Loughborough next week. Instonians’ Mohammed Aahil completes the Ulster representatives.

The squad will be coached by two legends of the Ireland senior team, 2007 World Cup members Andre Botha and Jeremy Bray.

Also next week, Amy Hunter is part of the Ireland Women’s Under 19 squad which will play a Tri-series against the Middlesex Schools CA and an Ireland (boys, U13) Cubs side at Oak Hill.

Each team will play the other twice from Monday to Thursday in T20 games with the Ireland international joined in the Under 19 team by her senior team-mate Georgina Dempsey plus the Eglinton pair of Zara Craig and Jennifer Jackson, Coleraine’s Kia McCartney and Waringstown’s Abi Harrison.
