Ireland U13s beat Middlesex Schools by 30 runs in the morning T20 game at Oak Hill.

Ardmore's Bobby Brolly, a late call-up to the squad justified his inclusion witb 28, as he and Peter Le Roux (33) shared an opening stand of 68 to set them on their way.

Skipper Lorcan Craik then hit 5 fours in a quick 36 to take then to 146 for 5.

That proved more than enough despite the best efforts of Khera (35) and Giles (25).

Ireland Under 19 girls edged out Middlesex Schools by four runs in a thriller in the afternoon match.

Annabel Squires of Merrion hit 7 fours in a brilliant 49 from 42 deliveries as the hosts were bowled out for 113 - three wickets for Galligan and Ganesan.

It proved just enough as three wickets apiece for Freya Sargent and Kia McCartney sealed the game.

They now are level on points at four apiece with the Under 13 Cubs, whom they play tomorrow in a tri-series shoot-out.
