Ireland U13 Cubs beat Ireland Under 19 girls by 9 wickets to clinch what had been up to that point a very competitive tri-series.

Amy Hunter fell cheaply for the girls and it took 29 from Abbi Harrison to get them to 109 - two wickets for McMeekin, Dijkstra, Wankhade and Hollway.

The chase was a routine one, with Bobby Brolly (42*) sharing stands of 57 with Peter le Roux (22) and skipper Lorcan Craik (35*).

In the morning game, Middlesex showed impressive power as they chased down Ireland U13 Cubs total of 158 to win with three balls to spare.

Railway Union's Peter Le Roux hit 12 boundaries in his unbeaten 87 from 68 balls, sharing an opening stand of 75 with Bobby Brolly (17) as the hosts made 158 for 6.

It looked as if it would be a routine win as Middlesex slumped to 22 for 4, but Ollie Gibson had other ideas.

He too hit an unbeaten 87 from 54 balls (8 fours, 6 sixes) to clinch the win with three balls to spare.
