Ireland have named a squad of 13 for the Euro T10 Championships in Spain later this month.

The squad is primarily a Development/Academy side for the tournament, which is being staged at the Cartama Oval from September 12-16.

Ireland have been drawn in Group A, alongside Spain, Austria, Czech Republic and Portugal.

Should Ireland qualify out of the group they will move on to finals week, which takes place between 10-14 of October.

There are four players from the Ireland U19 World Cup squad, while the CIYMS duo of John Matchett and Carson McCullough are called up after impressing in their side's All-Ireland double.

Newbuildings title winning captain Jared Wilson gets the nod, while Scott Macbeth is te other representative from the region.

One name unfamiliar to Irish fans is Cameron Melly, who attended Millfield School, but is now at Cardiff UCCE. His grandfather comes from Belfast, and is a hard-hitting batsman who can clear the ropes.

There are five Leinster based players, with YMCA's Jamie Forbes and Mikey O'Reilly joined by  John McNally (Clontarf), Séamus Lynch (Terenure), and Muzamil Sherzad of North Kildare.

The matches will all be broadcast.
