Ireland Women sealed the series with a 16-run DLS win in a rain-affected T20I in Edinburgh.

As in the first match it was Saskia Horley who made the only significant contribution for the Scots with 44.

There were two wickets for Waringstown’s Cara Murray while the Scots’ cause was not helped by three run-outs.

The Irish lost Gaby Lewis early in the chase, bowled by USA born Rachel Slater, but Amy Hunter and Orla Prendergast steered the visitors to 44 in the 5 overs that were possible before thunderstorms swept up through Edinburgh ruling out any further play.

The final game in the three match series takes place on Thursday again at The Grange.

Ireland will be without off-spinner Eimear Richardson for the final match, after she returned home due to a family bereavement.
