Eglinton all-rounder Robbie Millar has made an excellent start to the season in Australia.

The leg-spinner, a former Ireland Under 19 international, is spending the winter playing for Orbost in Victoria.

He took four wickets on debut against St Mary's in the A-Grade, while he followed that up with 3 for 11 against Wy Yung, and 3 for 31 yesterday versus Warragul and District.

A haul of 10 wickets at just 7 apiece is a dream start for the youngster.

The Kennedy brothers have also been performing admirably, with Graham Kennedy making an unbeaten 76 on his way to 126 rus at 31.50, while also claiming 8 wickets with his left-aarm spin at just 9.13, while younger brother Stuart has four wickets at 15.

Jared Wilson has endured a wet start to the season in Melbourne, suffering no fewer than five wash-outs.

However, his Sydenham Hillside club made a winning start this weekend, with Wilson making 21 in victory over St Francis.
