Clontarf paceman David Delany will be back in Leinster Lightning colours for the 2023 season after spells at Munster Reds and the Northern Knights.

The 24 year-old won the last of his eight caps over three years ago, and will be hoping a change of scenery will aid an international recall having fallen out of favour following his comeback from knee surgery.

Delany replaces Peter Chase who retired last year through injury, while there is no place either for another Malahide speedster, with David O'Halloran left out of Nigel Jones' 13-man squad.

Added from the 2022 line-up is the YMCA duo of Mikey O'Reilly and and Ireland U19 international Reuben Wilson as the Dubliners look to replenish their pace stocks.

There is somewhat of a surprise as there is no place for Terenure's Seamus Lynch, especially after the T20 specialist was so impressive during the European tournament in Spain for the Ireland Academy side.

George Dockrell is once again at the helm, one of eight senior internationals in the 13, making them very much the front-runners once again for honours.
