Josh Little and Conor Olphert have been ruled out of the tour to Bangladesh which gets under way next week.

In a release which raised more questions than answers, it said that Little was unavailable and Olphert injured.

Little withdrew from the Pakistan Super League after a hamstring issue surfaced during the South African T20.

He is of course due to play in the IPL and it's understandable he wants to ensure he is 100% fit having secured a life-changing $500k contract.

There are no details of the nature or extent of Bready speedster Conor Olphert's latest injury, who has endured a tough time fitness wise this past few years, limiting his appearances at all levels.

They are replaced by Clontarf all-rounder Fionn Hand, who has also been added to the Test squad in Bangladesh.

Cricket Ireland have also yet to confirm the opponent for their warm-up next Wednesday.

There is also speculation that the ODIs that were to take place after the Test against Sri Lanka have been scrapped.

We also await confirmation of the venue and dates for the World Cup Super League matches against Bangladesh. It was reported last month that these were being moved to Chelmsford in May.
