James Newland has been the star of the show for the MCC who are participating this week in the Central American Championships in Belize.

The Malahide left-armer took three wickets as MCC recorded a seven wickets victory against Mexico, after his efforts restricted them to 74 in the T20 contest.

He was also among the wickets against the hosts, claiming 2 for 16 in a 136-run win, and a super 4 for 21 in the first of the double header against Belize.

The tour continues over the next three days, with YMCA all-rounder Ehtesham Ahmed also in the MCC squad.
