Ireland have named their U19 squad for series against Scotland and Jersey, while they will also be facing England next month.

Ireland's displays in the last U19 World Cup means they qualify automatically for the 2024 competition, and are saved from having to go through the European qualifiers in The Netherlands next month.

There are no fewer than five CSNI representatives across the two squads, with Ryan Hunter and Finn Lutton facing Scotland in the Celtic Cup, while Lutton is joined by Harry Dyer, Adam Leckey and James West for the games against Jersey at Lisburn.

Philiipe Le Roux is captain for the Scotland series, and South African Jordan Neill is included, having impressed for Munster Heat in the ongoing Future Series.

One other new name is English based Hayden Melly, who has joined his brother Cameron at Brigade this month.

He will have Beechgrove team-mate Scott Macbeth in the squad, while Bready's Gavin Roulston is the other North West representative.

CIYMS all-rounder Carson McCullough takes the captain's armband for the Jersey matches.

Clontarf have three players in the squads - John McNally, Luke Thomson and Aaron McGeehan.

“Nothing beats touring for accelerating development and Ireland versus Scotland games have always provided the best competition and entertainment and I’ve no doubt this series will be another challenging one in Aberdeen." said Head Coach Pete Johnston.

"Jersey have definitely been a very organised team and one on the rise in recent times too, and we look forward to welcoming them to Lisburn for a home series.

"Such is the depth in the Under-19s squad, that we hope to give opportunities to a number of players throughout both series ahead of a landmark series against England Under-19s in Loughborough next month. However, YMCA and Leinster Lightning’s Reuben Wilson is currently unavailable due to injury."
