Leinster Lightning's slim hopes of retaining the T20 interpro trophy have been dealt a further blow with the absence of left-armer Josh Little for the final Festival that gets under way on Tuesday at Pembroke.

Little will once again be plying his trade for Manchester Originals in The Hundred which starts tomorrow.

The 23 year-old was one of the stars of the 2022 event, claiming a five-wicket haul against the Oval Invincibles.

Lightning will also be without Andrew Balbirnie who has been given time off with the imminent arrival of his first child.

And a third international not in the squad is Harry Tector, who is playing for Gloucestershire in the One-Day Cup on Wednesday, before going on holiday. He would have been suspended for the first two games anyway, carried over from the washed out Bready Festival.

They do have 6 senior internationals in the squad - George Dockrell, Lorcan Tucker, Simi Singh, David Delany, Fionn Hand and Barry McCarthy.

Overseas players Sam Harbinson and Riley Mudford are included, while Chris De Freitas recent prolific form also sees him included.

The squad in full is as follows: George Dockrell, Lorcan Tucker, Simi Singh, Tim Tector, Riley Mudford, Sam Harbinson, Mark Donegan, Chris De Freitas, David Delany, Fionn Hand, Mikey O'Reilly, Barry McCarthy, Seamus Lynch, Amish Sidhu, John McNally.
