Mark Adair received the T20 interprovincial Trophy last night in Pembroke as captain of Northern Knights – only their second win in the competition - but they lost their 100% win record as Leinster Lightning chased down their target of 188.

Tim Tector was left stranded on 91 – the highest score of the season – after George Dockrell hit five sixes in a whirlwind 36, but Lightning still finished bottom of the table.

Tector overtook Ali Frost who was on course to hit the fastest 100 but Graham Hume dismissed the Munster Reds batter in the morning match for 83 off 39 balls with 10 fours and four sixes. The Reds total of 183 for nine was still 38 runs too many for North West Warriors as Ben White continued his impressive form to take three wickets.

The three Brigade players in action for the Warriors made it to Ardmore with 10 minutes to spare to play in last night’s Faughan Valley Cup final and were rewarded with victory and a place in the All-Ireland semi-final at home to Balbriggan on Sunday.
