A century by Fiachra Tucker and a stirring last wicket partnership of 46 to win the game were the highlights of the annual Dublin University v MCC Ireland game played in College Park.

The game was notable for being the only adult three-day match played in Ireland this year - quite incredible for a so called Full-Mamber Test nation!

With Malahide's interpro spinner Michael Frost taking 4-39, Trinity were facing defeat David O'Halloran (16no) was joined by Hamza Mann (31no). But the guest pair saw the student side to a one-wicket win in glorious sunshine.

After play started late on day one, Pembroke's Fiachra Tucker made a fine century for the MCC on the second morning and later took 3-6 with his leggies. Trinity's Jack Atkinson was successful with bat and ball but the match was going in one direction until that extraordinary last wicket stand.
