Ireland International Matches
WH Laverton's XI drew with Ireland
2 Day, Westbury, 12 August 1895
Scorecard
Derek Scott

On the first day there were 49 overs bowled and Mr Laverton's XI made 82 for 6. Rain then prevented any further play. Storms in the night and on the second morning caused the match to be abandoned without any further play. Lambert, who came in for this and the next match, bowled 23 overs and took 4 for 22 while Gwynn in 25 overs took 1 for 47. DD Pontifex coming in at no. 4 after the two opening batsmen had fallen cheaply to Lambert batted very well for his 44 not out.
